CELEBRITY
ASTROLOGICAL PROFILES
Celebrities
are fascinating creatures because they give us a glimpse of the
human experience that we cannot find in everyday life. Often their
lives seem more glamorous, and their crises are played out in
an arena that is far more public than most of us will ever experience.
As a result, they provide an excellent tool for exploring the
magic of the astrological chart as delve behind the symbols into
the mysteries of human behavior.
My
source for birth data is usually the wonderful Astrodatabank
site, which is now hosted at Astro.com.
Lois Rodden and her helpers worked for many years compiling this
huge collection of data which is now available to the public at
no charge. I also work in collaboration with other astrologers
around the world to be sure that the data used is as accurate
as possible.
Still,
we very often cannot locate the time of birth for a celebrity
or other newsmaker, and in that case I set up the chart for noon
and place the Sun on the Ascendant. I use noon rather than sunrise
or some other time because being halfway through the day, it gives
us a clearer idea of the placement of the Moon.
Without
the time of birth we cannot tell for certain what the Ascendant
of the chart is, or the Midheaven, or which houses the planets
fall in. But we can glean a great deal of information from the
placement of the planets in signs and the aspects that they make
to one another, to learn more about the personality of the people
in whom we find so much fascination.
