Zac Efron became a household name almost overnight after his work in High School Musical and now as the romantic lead in the film Hairspray. High School Musical was a phenomenon that began as a made-for-tv special for the Disney Channel and ended up as the most-watched Disney film of 2006. The sequel, High School Musical 2, premieres on the Disney Channel on August 17.

Efron's fame stems from more than just his pretty face; he is also becoming known for being a genuinely nice guy. Interviews have highlighted his modesty and down-to-earth attitude about his fame, along with his real appreciation for the good fortune he's begn given. But like most overnight sensations he has been working to build his film and television career since the age of 15.

Zac Efron was born under the sign of Libra, the sign of love, harmony, and relationships. Libras are generally charming and diplomatic, and always very aware of the needs of others around them. Libra is known as the "pleaser," sometimes to their detriment as it can be difficult for them to create an identity of their own. Instead they often act as a mirror for the people around them in order to achieve the peaceful environment which they crave.
