“Tell your story.
Shout it. Write it.
Whisper it if you have to.
But tell it.
Some won’t understand it.
Some will outright reject it.
But many will
thank you for it.
And then the most
magical thing will happen.
One by one, voices will start
whispering, ‘Me, too.’
And your tribe will gather.
And you will never
feel alone again.”

I found this poem in a wonderful Facebook group called “Ravenous Butterflies” and it really resonated with me because of my current Saturn transit.  All of us are experiencing a tightening of the conjunction between Saturn (tests and challenges) and Pluto (total transformation) to some degree.  The combination of these two planets generally denotes a destructive force that can clear the path of any debris that is interfering with the natural movement of the Universe towards balance.  This has the potential to be a positive force, but it is also associated with contraction and challenge, especially now since both planets are in the contracting sign of Capricorn.  This week I’ll be writing a comprehensive post about this alignment, which just gives us a sneak peek this summer and culminates in 2020.

Anyone who has planets between 18 and 26 degrees of Capricorn, Cancer, Libra and Aries will be affected more personally by this planetary alignment (if you want to know how you are affected leave your birth data in the comments and I’ll tell you), and I am one of those people.  I have four planets in those degrees, including my own Saturn/Sun conjunction.  This Saturn/Sun conjunction is a rough challenge that often brings a deep sense of loneliness and isolation.  The beauty though of Saturn is that if you can live through the difficult early years, the years after midlife are so much easier.  I always heard that Saturn people are old when they’re young and young when they’re old, and it really is true.

Many of us feel that we are somehow defective, and that if we expose our inner selves to the world that we will be rejected in some way.  But what I have found in many years of writing this blog, and on Facebook as well, is that when we allow ourselves to really be seen it resonates with the people around us and there is so much appreciation about having done this. Humans crave connection with other humans – not the curated perfection of our Facebook and Instagram lives, but the real gritty details that help us to relate to one another.

Saturn is in Capricorn now, along with Pluto, demanding that we be real.  Saturn and Pluto tell us now toe honest, tell the truth, don’t get lost in fantasy or illusion but face the hard truths and deal with them head-on.  We can all benefit from learning from each other’s inner worlds when we share how we manage our lives and the ways in which we find greater peace and understanding.
