This week we have two stelliums (groupings of planets) in Earth signs forming a trine to each other. This is generally a very favorable planetary condition since the Earth planets can work together to support and foster stability. We have four planets in Virgo, including the Sun/Mercury/Mars conjunction that culminated on September 3rd and is weakening as the planets separate. Virgo is primarily concerned with the details of life that need to be attended to when we live in a human body, making this a great time overall to take care of ourselves as I wrote in last week’s post about the New Moon in Virgo.
At the same time we have Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn, the sign of material success. Saturn is a personal planet and one that motivates us to improve by reminding us that we’re not yet perfect. Pluto is a transpersonal planet that inspires us to embrace the necessity of change where change becomes necessary. Saturn and Pluto are linked right now (and have been for the past several months) by the South Node of the Past. With Pluto relatively stationary right now as it waits to turn direct on October 3rd, anything from the past that stands in the way of our soul’s progress could emerge for the purpose of letting it go and releasing any stuck energy in the process.
Saturn is harmonizing with all of the Virgo planets this week and since Saturn loves a good plan, and Virgo motivates us to make one, this could be an excellent time to focus on what you would like to bring into your life and create a practical strategy to bring your wishes into reality.
A harmonious trine from Mars (action) to Saturn (discipline) bestows a focus on practicality on the 9th and 10th, but an opposition from the Sun to Neptune on the 10th may cloud our vision and make an attention to practical matters more difficult. This is a great day for creativity or meditation, and then on the 11th we can get back to business. Personal energy is high on the 11th and 12th with a strong aspect from Mars to Jupiter. This may not be the best time for an important discussion as we can all be a little more self-righteous than is helpful under this aspect! But our physical energy is likely to get a boost, so this is a good time to plan some kind of physical activity.
The Pisces Full Moon on September 14th harmonizes with Pluto, the planet of personal transformation for a turbo boost of creative inspiration along with personal empowerment and growth. Under the Pisces Full Moon, the imagination and inner wisdom takes precedence over the mundane details of everyday reality (Virgo Sun), and Pluto is a powerful ally in this endeavor. The Full Moon chart includes a strong Mars aspect as well, which helps to activate the normal passivity of the Pisces energies.
This is a time to bring more fairy dust into your life – to plan a day or two, or three, of creativity and to truly appreciate the beauty of the world around you. Mercury and Venus both move into the harmonious sign of Libra on the 14th, beginning Libra season where we shift our focus on love and a beautiful life!
