The planets are pretty earthy right now which can help us to find our feet in the ever-changing unfolding of experiences of life. Not everyone loves the experience of stability and security and a realm of practicality where every decision matters, but as we cycle through the realms of intellect and thought (air), motivation and desire (fire), emotions and feelings (water) it’s helpful to have that earthy period to allow everything to settle and stabilize.
Mars (drive and motivation) just moved into Taurus last week and will be traveling through that sign until March 31st. In the security-oriented earthy sign of Taurus, Mars doesn’t like change and since Mercury will be turning retrograde in March, the upcoming weeks will not be the best times for big changes. In Taurus Mars encourages us to explore the pleasures of being in a body – sensuality, taste, living in nature, planting and nurturing the seeds of life.
We also have Venus (love and aesthetics) in another earth sign, Capricorn, until March 1st and for much of that time it will be interacting with Saturn, Capricorn’s ruler (a conjunction of Venus to Saturn culminates on the 18th). Formalizing our relationships, making commitments, spending time alone, saving our money and becoming more practical with finances and saving for the future – all of these trends occur under this planetary combination. As Venus moves closer to transformational Pluto on the 22nd we are likely to see all human interaction intensify and become more passionate and intense.
Chiron moves back into Aries on the 18th. Chiron first entered Aries in April of 2018, then retrograded back into Pisces in September. Because of Chiron’s elliptical orbit, it spends more time in Aries than in any other sign (and the second longest time in Pisces), evoking the mechanisms that will expose the wounds to our personal identity. How well can we defend ourselves and our rights? Are we able to express our needs with confidence that they will be met? Do our own needs blind us to the needs and rights of others, making relationships difficult or impossible? Can we manifest what we desire and feel confident in our own life adventure? These are all questions that will be a focus while Chiron is in Aries. Read more about Chiron in Aries here.
The Full Moon on February 19th is a Supermoon – the Moon is at its closest point to the Earth which intensifies its influence to expand and deepen our connection to our own inner Self. The planetary ruler of the Full Moon (Mercury) is very active at that time, making this Full Moon an excellent time to think through problems, organize a plan. When the Moon is full in Virgo, the Sun is in Pisces, asking us to balance the Piscean urge to let go of the minutiae in order to find greater peace and connection with the divine within us, and yet the Virgo Moon calls upon us to stay grounded in the material world.
Virgo is an earth sign, but it is ruled by active and unpredictable Mercury. This gives Virgo a less placid experience than Taurus, and a less grounded experience than Capricorn, the other two Earth signs. Mercury itself is quite active at the time of the Full Moon (conjunct Neptune, sextile Saturn, square Jupiter and then sextile Pluto on the 23rd). When Mercury is active, communication moves more quickly and may be less thoughtful and considered. The news will be chock full of incidents of all kinds, and we could see some volatility in financial markets especially with Venus (wealth and assets) sandwiched between Saturn (tests and challenges) and Pluto (endings and rebirths).
The energies of the Full Moon will last for a few days before and after the actual event. For more information about the Full Moon visit my YouTube channel here.

Thanks so much Lynn!
I have to move in 11 days. That’s a big change that cannot be avoided. I hope I can make the right decision.
Try to use your instincts and hopefully it will all go well.
