In my own life, Pluto has been hammering my Libra stellium for the past two years (geeky astrological details: Saturn/Sun/Neptune squared by Uranus) and I have been forced to take a hard look at much of my life to see how the boxes I’ve put myself in (Saturn/Sun) have kept me from my longing to connect with soul (Neptune/Sun).  Uranus of course is always resisting boxes of any kind, and tends to want to keep things moving and ever changing.  In my heart I long for stillness and the solace of nature.

I’m finally beginning to understand this idea of the Now.  It has taken a lot of less-doing and more presence.  For me it means walking the dog without listening to a podcast.  Taking a few extra minutes to meditate in the morning despite the long task list I create mentally before I get out of bed.  Practicing gratitude rather than complaints.  Finally getting around to writing morning pages – if not daily, at least on a regular basis.

For all these reasons I chose this quote from Eckart Tolle for today’s inspiration post.  I hope it means as much to you as it does to me. ❤️

The quality of your consciousness at this moment is what shapes the future—which, of course, can only be experienced as the Now.

If it is the quality of your consciousness at this moment that determines the future, then what is it that determines the quality of your consciousness? Your degree of presence. So the only place where true change can occur and where the past can be dissolved is the Now.

You think that your attention is in the present moment when it’s actually taken up completely by time. You cannot be both unhappy and fully present in the Now.

What you refer to as your “life” should more accurately be called your “life situation.”It is psychological time: past and future. …

The time-bound mode of consciousness is deeply embedded in the human psyche. But what we are doing here is part of a profound transformation that is taking place in the collective consciousness of the planet and beyond: the awakening of consciousness from the dream of matter, for and separation.
