Scientists are saying that this new wave of the pandemic could mark the end of it as immunity spreads in large numbers. Hopefully that is true, and in the meantime we can, and we must, find the nuggets of peace and the sacred where we can. I found this piece by Hafiz, a 14th century Sufi poet, to be especially poignant for this time and I hope you too will find some peace here. ❤️
I sometimes forget
that I was created for Joy.
My mind is too busy.
My Heart is too heavy
for me to remember
that I have been
called to dance
the Sacred dance of life.
I was created to smile
To Love
To be lifted up
And to lift others up.
O’ Sacred One
Untangle my feet
from all that ensnares.
Free my soul.
That we might
Dance
and that our dancing
might be contagious.
