Cancer Supermoon Eclipse! July 12, 2018
The Cancer New Moon on the 12th is a Supermoon and a partial solar eclipse. The term Supermoon (™ astrologer Richard Nolle) simply means that the Moon is at its closest point to the Earth. When the Moon is full and a Supermoon it appears large in the sky. When the Supermoon is a New Moon, we can’t see it at all because the light of the Sun obscures the Moon. When the New Moon is an eclipse, the Sun is obscured as well.
The symbolism of an eclipse is connected to the Nodes of the Moon – points in the sky where the path of the Moon crosses the path of the Sun. This is one of the lessons of Cancer.
Another Cancerian lesson is that the past takes us to the future and cannot be avoided. Our history is our present, and both can be transformed.
