Mars in Pisces

Astrological news this week: Mars in Pisces and stationary Pluto

Astrological update for the week of April 18-25, 2022

Mars in Pisces.

As I wrote in last week’s update, Mars entered Pisces on April 14th just before the Libra Full Moon on April 16th. That was a highly potent Full Moon, with the Sun and Moon both in a square aspect to powerful Pluto. Unfortunately it did not lead to a peaceful Easter weekend, with three mass shootings in the US, riots in Sweden and Jerusalem, and the bombing of the wonderful World Central Kitchen in Kharkiv Ukraine.

Astrology cannot prevent global disaster and war, but knowing where there might be land mines can help us in our own small ways to promote peace and healing. Mars will be in Pisces until May 24th, and when Mars is in Pisces all of that aggression tends to be driven into the underground of the psyche. In Pisces, the sign of the artist and the mystic, Mars can be compassionate and fueled by creativity and a yearning for spiritual connection. But the drive and motivation of Mars doesn’t do well when subsumed by the passivity of Pisces and it will take more effort and conscious intention to express and assert ourselves where necessary.

Repeating what I wrote last week, during this time Mars will conjoin Neptune and Jupiter, which may exacerbate the fuzziness of planetary energies. We can ameliorate this somewhat by enhancing our own physical energy through physical activity – always an excellent way to stimulate the chi and activate our intellectual energy as well as physical. But in the end we will just have to be patient and wait for the Piscean clouds to lift, utilizing this […]

Astrological news this week: Jupiter/Neptune and a Libra Full Moon

Astrological update for the week of April 11-18, 2022

Jupiter/Neptune conjunction in Pisces. This week we have the exact conjunction of Jupiter to Neptune, culminating on April 12th.  You can do a deep dive into this conjunction by following this link. We can get the most out of this crescendo of Piscean magic and illumination (which will remain in effect for the rest of the  month) by placing our attention on areas of our life where creative inspiration and spiritual exploration can take hold. Meditation retreats. Music and art. Ecstatic dance. Anything we do that invites Divinity into our lives is highlighted now.

The conjunction of Jupiter to Neptune doesn’t always bring fairy dust and magic – there is also potential for illusion and confusion.  There is a longing under this conjunction for positivity and optimism, and this can be a gorgeous influence to help us create a beautiful future. However, we may not be thinking as clearly as we would like to, so I advise precautionary care with the mundane details to be sure we have our feet on the ground when making decisions.

Mars enters Pisces April 14th. Following the Piscean theme described above, the planet of war enters the the most mutable of the mutable signs. Mutability is flexible and adaptable, but also lacks focus and direction which is not the happiest place for Mars. In Pisces, Mars can inspire greater compassion and a yearning for spiritual connection, but the Piscean confusion can become a force that dissolves our motivation and even our physical energy.

Mars will be in Pisces until it enters Aries on May 24th. During this time Mars will conjoin Neptune and Jupiter, which may exacerbate the fuzziness of planetary energies. […]

Hi everybody, my name is Lynn Hayes and I wanted to welcome you to my channel. Thanks for visiting me here!  Today I’m going to be talking about the astrology for the week of May 11.

There is a lot going on this week, and it’s helpful to know what kind of energies are coming up so that we know how to work with them. We can’t always control what happens in our lives, but if we know the kind of weather that’s coming sometimes that can make life a little easier. I always think about a client of mine who always says, “Tell me something good.”  She always wants to know what’s Jupiter doing today, what’s Jupiter doing in my chart. None of us really like bad news and I can see on my Facebook page, where I post every day, the news is not always good. Sometimes there’s going to be a rainstorm, sometimes it’s going to hail, sometimes there’s going to be a big snowstorm. And we’re going to be stuck in our houses. But it helps us to know what’s coming so that we can be prepared.

I live in North Carolina. There’s often hurricane warnings that come up about a […]

Sagittarius New Moon December 7th: Begin a new adventure!

Sagittarius New MoonThis New Moon in Sagittarius brings with it an opportunity to begin a new adventure.  The New Moon is a fresh new start – the heart (Moon) unites with the conscious intent (Sun) to forge a new direction, and in Sagittarius the sky is the limit.  Sagittarius governs travel, whether travel of the mind and the heart, or of the body through space and time.  This is a time to expand and seek a new experience that opens up our hearts and souls to greater magic and wonder than we ever dreamed possible.

Sagittarius periods feel lucky, and this one is no exception with Jupiter, the planet of luck and good fortune, tightly aligned with the New Moon, amplifying even more the potential for greater awareness and opportunities.  However, all is not perfectly rosy at this New Moon.  Mars, the planet of aggression and desire, is in the spiritual yet potentially confusing sign of Pisces which can be somewhat challenging to begin with, and it aligns with Neptune as well which is a doubling of the desire for transcendence and perhaps even escapism which can cause confusion.  The combination of Pisces’s yearning to transcend this mundane reality with the Sagittarius pull towards greener pastures can create problems if we fail to keep our feet on the ground.

Geeky astrological detail:  While Pisces and Sagittarius form a natural square and are therefore in conflict with each other, they are also linked by Jupiter which rules both signs.  Using Jupiter as the figurative North Star to guide us is the key to maximizing the potential of the New Moon.

However, this Pisces/Sagittarius influence is not necessarily negative – if it is channeled into creativity or if we absorb ourselves in experiences of […]

Thanksgiving Gemini full moon makes everything possible

The Sun enters Sagittarius on the 22nd, ending the Scorpio season and beginning the festivities of the holiday season, and the Sagittarius season begins with a Full Moon on the 23rd at the very first degree of Gemini opposite the Sagittarius Sun.  The Gemini/Sag polarity is all about collecting and assimilating information – this is a time to open the mind and see what drops into it.  It’s time to keep an open mind, and prepare for an awakening and a shift in belief systems where necessary.

Gemini is the trickster – under its influence things are not always what they appear.  But there is a flexibility and adaptability available to us now which can offer a change of perspective and awareness.

This Full Moon has a special abundance of positive Jupiter Juju with Jupiter aligned with the Sun and opposed by the Moon, helping to instill a new level of confidence you never dreamed possible.

Full Moons are the peak of the lunar cycle – the lunar light is in ascendance over the solar conscious experience, and the emotional intensity available to us can be channeled through the Will in order to create real Magic.   This Full Moon is energized by Mars which helps to focus the power of it, and because Mars is in Pisces the power is softened and allowed to be sweet yet intense.

Sometimes lunar events are sweet and mild, and sometimes they are potent and rocky.  This Gemini Full Moon is loaded with potential, as well as the fuel to light the fire to help us to accomplish great things.

Some things to keep in mind to get the most out of this Full Moon:

  • Reality can change in an instant, so be prepared for a […]
