The astrological implications of the Jeffrey Epstein case including Me Too

Note: Yes, I know that Clinton was also an associate of Epstein. I attempted to give equal time by inserting a photo of Epstein and Clinton, but was unable to find one. I believe that ALL criminals connected to this case should be prosecuted.

Jeffrey Epstein is a financial adviser to billionaires who began his career as a physics and calculus professor before moving on to finance.  He was arrested in New York on Saturday on charges of sex trafficking of children* after new complainants emerged in the district of New York, resulting in the sealed files from the Florida trial and plea deal to be unsealed.

This case more than any other in recent memory (other than perhaps the Harvey Weinstein story) exemplifies the ability of the rich and powerful to get away with crimes against the weak and unrepresented.  The astrology of this time vividly tells the story, with Saturn (tests and challenges) conjunct Pluto (power and secrets), both in the sign of Capricorn (the structures of society).  Back in April I wrote:

Saturn (tests and challenges) and Pluto (creative destruction) are at their closest point now until they collide in their official conjunction in January of 2020.  The combination of these two planets generally denotes a destructive force that can clear the path of any debris that is interfering with the natural movement of the Universe towards balance.  This has the potential to be a positive force, but it is also associated with contraction and challenge, especially now since both planets are in the contracting sign of Capricorn. They are aligned with the South Node of the past, denoting that some karmic cleanup is bound to occur.

The chickens are coming home to roost.  There are a great many chickens roosting in this particular horror of a scandal, […]

Planetary news this week and the Supreme Court

This week’s biggest news of course is the big Aries Full Moon that occurred on the 24th.  Not big as in Supermoon big, but big as in eight planets all linked together in a dance of high energy planetary juju.  The energy of Full Moons take about three days to culminate and then about three days to dissipate so we are still riding the waves of that explosion of energies.

In the US news, the disruption of the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court is a classic manifestation of the energies of this Aries Full Moon.  Mercury in Libra, desiring fairness, was tightly aligned to both the Sun and Moon, as was Chiron which brought up old wounds of the past to be addressed and hopefully resolved.  Uranus did indeed foster a disruption of the status quo which was looking like a seamless nomination and confirmation process.

This week we have a triple conjunction of the South Node (events of the past) to Mars (assertion and need) that includes the Black Moon Lilith, a force of primal feminism and the astrological mascot of the MeToo movement.  Combined with the lingering energies of the Aries Full Moon, this planetary dynamic will remain in effect at least until Friday.  Since allegations of sexual assault (connected with the Black Moon Lilith) are involved, I suspect the Supreme Court nomination process will not be resolved and more Kavanaugh accusers will come forward during this period.

Venus is in Scorpio now too, encouraging intense and passionate interactions which could overpower the tendency of Mercury in Libra towards polite conflict resolution.

It will be an interesting week!

Asia Argento and the Black Moon Lilith

I’ve been writing quite a bit about the Black Moon Lilith and its relevance to the Me Too movement and sexual abuse.  The Black Moon Lilith is an interesting astrological symbol – not a planet or an asteroid (there IS a Lilith asteroid but that is a different matter entirely), the BML is a focal point between the earth and the farthest point of the lunar orbit (see this earlier article for more details).

The origin of the Lilith story is obscured in the midst of time, but the archetype of Lilith, Adam’s first wife, is that of an oversexed female who demands equality and refuses to be dominated by Adam. With the help of Yahweh, Adam sends her out to the wilderness without her children (later she is said to have killed her children but I believe that is just bad press) and she then becomes the model for the succubus – a female demon who sucks away the life force of men.  So we have a heady brew of scary female sexuality combined with independence and resistance to the patriarchy.

For the past few years I’ve been experimenting with the Black Moon Lilith, and when she shows up prominently in a woman’s chart (as she does in mine) there seems to be a continuum of experiences that range from at the minimum a strong desire to help and defend other women, to a severe hatred of men.  Men whose charts show a prominent Black Moon Lilith are often both fascinated and repulsed by strong and powerful women, depending on other placements in their chart.

So it’s no surprise that the Black Moon Lilith has shown up in the charts of those […]

The astrology of the Me Too movement, and Black Moon Lilith

The phrase “Me Too” was first used back in 2006 by Tarana Burke to help spread the message that would help the young girls she worked with to heal from sexual violence.  But like so many things, the timing had to be ripe for that message to spread around the world, and that happened back in October 2017 with the Harvey Weinstein revelations and we can see the astrological correlations for that in the planetary movement of the planet Uranus – the radical revolutionary, the planet which tends to suddenly turn the established order on its ear.

The “Me Too” movement began in the United States, and while its message has spread around the world, its influence is predominantly American.  The first glimmer of the movement began back in June of 2017 when female workers in Silicon Valley began to express frustration with a “culture of harassment.”  At the time, Uranus was exactly conjunct Venus, planet of relationships and human interaction. This fast moving planetary dynamic would not have been sufficient to motivate a national movement in itself, but Venus in the US progressed chart was also affected which means that the archetype of the American woman was particularly affected by a need to change the established order (US Progressed Venus was at the exact same degree as the Uranus/Venus conjunction).

When all of this first came down I couldn’t help but think this sudden eruption of rage smelled just like the Black Moon Lilith (follow this link for other information about this fascinating planetary point).  The Black Moon Lilith embodies a primal feminine rage against the patriarchy that is very interesting in astrological charts where this point […]
