Mercury square Pluto

Weekend update! April 16-17, 2021 brings a burst of mental power

The planet Mercury rules the weekend, interacting with Jupiter, Mars, and then conjoining the Sun at 29 degrees before moving into Taurus early on Monday morning.  Mercury’s domain is the transmission of information, messaging, thought process, and the digestion of experiences into our conscious thought. Mercury has been in fiery Aries for the past few weeks, generating swift reactions and inspiring action.

Currently there are five planetary bodies at 25-27 degrees of a sign: we have the Sun at 27-28 degrees Aries, Mercury at 25-27 Aries, Mars at 26 Gemini, Jupiter at 26 Aquarius, and Pluto at 26 Capricorn.  That means that all of these planets are interacting in one form or another, stimulating greater energies both positive and negative.

  • Jupiter (ideology) is semi-sextile, an awkward aspect between two signs which nothing in common, to Pluto (power struggles) right now making it difficult to find any kind of agreement.  This aspect will continue for much of the week.
  • Mercury (thoughts and ideas) is in a challenging square  aspect to Pluto, taking the discomfort of the Jupiter/Pluto dissonance and bringing it out into the open.
  • Mars (drive and action) is in an awkward quincunx to Pluto, creating more awkward discomfort without an easy path to release.
  • BUT!! Mars is just easing off from a harmonious trine to Jupiter, a grace card to help us to find that positive energy if we really look for it.
  • AND Mercury is in a harmonious sextile to Jupiter which helps to expand our sense of possibilities and find meaning in the midst of challenge.

The Moon is right in the middle of the fray as it finishes up its passage through the last degrees of Gemini.  Because Gemini […]

Weekly astrological forecast for September 21, 2020 including the Equinox and Saturn turning direct

In this week’s video I review the meaning of the Sun entering Libra at the September equinox and the turning of the seasons.  Also, Saturn is stationary in the sky right now and I thought he deserved some special time since his influence is important with all of the Capricorn energies happening at the moment.  And of course I’ll review the astrological influences of the week ahead to help with your planning.  Transcription can be found at the end, but as always I encourage you to watch the video.  It helps me and my channel, of course, but you’ll also find charts and visual aids in the video which will help to tie everything together and make more sense.

Hey everybody, welcome back to my channel. I hope you’ve had a great week. If you’re new here, my name is Lynn Hayes. And every week I post a video about the astrological influences for the week, and how you can get the most out of them. So without further ado, let’s get started.

The first thing I’d like to talk about is the planet Saturn. This summer we have had a large number of planets traveling retrograde. Now planets don’t actually travel retrograde, but sometimes they appear to travel backwards, and we call that retrograde. And this summer we have had between five and seven planets retrograde, which is a very large number. When we have that many planets retrograde there’s a tendency for the energies to kind of stall. We’re having to keep going back and look backwards behind us. You know, what did we do? Why did […]
